Dee Digital Music is all about positive music vibes. This is a Music platform where artists can share their positive music, shows and have it promoted by us.
Dee Digital music is in partnership with YDN and Saba Network and has been approved by the National Lottery fund.
We aim to take on Croydon’s young adults who are 18- 25 not in employment, education or training. To learn skills, develop talent and enhance their employability. We help young adults by promoting positive music through our many connections including YDN Radio, digital radio and podcasts Including our very own radio podcast station under the Childminded Project for young adults to use their talents to positively affect society.
We will challenge Croydon’s increasing youth knife crime rate and the reported influence of “Drill” music on young adults living out of this violence. We will provide music production, media production and filming opportunities and get young adults to focus on positive music representations.
Drill music videos from gangs virally spread at an alarming rate, often gaining over 100,000 views within days, promoting gangs’ criminal acts and sending violent threats against others. We plan to eradicate this by having our young adult members create positive songs, radio shows and podcasts. They will spread this positive music and shows to be shared on community radio by our young adults.
This will include community events. We will have our young adults do creative performances, projects and an anti-violence song as part of their campaign. They will have an event to showcase their skills at a networking event which we will host and invite those looking for new talent, which will help generate potential work placements.
Our project activities will steer young adults and gear them up for genuine creative opportunities in the music industry and other areas. Once their music, presenting and filming projects have been created with us. The project will showcase their production skills and share positive social media content online. They will work on interviews and documenting their step-by-step progress with social conscious themes bringing communities together.
